DEIB and Work Culture Projects

When I join a company I join the people and culture is a huge driving force to me. I have been grateful to have been a part of companies that have embraced this and embraced diversity. Here are some amazing things I have been a part of:

Achievements I am most proud of (at Dolly)

  • Established and co-facilitated the first ever DEIB committee at Dolly: organized, structured and conducted our first company survey to measure Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging at Dolly and met with the group regularly to promote/establish the right culture.
  • Supported my peers: Interviewed and helped hire the first HR person for Dolly, Eleni Adams.
  • Supported Diversity: Organized company 5k run to support diversity in tech, raised money for black girls who code, Thurgood Marshall and ada’s academy.
  • Embedded Wellness into the culture: led optional wellness groups (yoga and meditation)
  • Championed Change : Updated outdated values for the organization by consulting with the executive committee on behalf of the DEIB committee to establish and update new values (see below before and after)

Led multiple Booking.cares projects (including replanting trees and volunteering at salmon days event in WA)
